The AstroParticle Physics (AP) group at the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo in Brazil, anticipates one post-doctoral position starting as early as March 2025.
The successful candidate is expected to work on the theoretical aspects of Dark Matter searches, and collaborate with our experimental efforts. Our group participates in the DarkSide Collaboration, which searches for Dark Matter through direct detection. The candidate is should contribute on Dark Matter model building and prospects for Dark Matter detection. Our AP group has 2 faculty members, Ivone F.M. Albuquerque and Edivaldo Moura Santos, together with post-docs and several graduate students.
Postdoctoral salaries are approximately BRL 144K per year, exempt from tax deductions, the position includes BRL 14400/year for travel and computing needs. Moving and installation expenses will be reimbursed with the ticket price and one additional monthly salary. The position has a duration of 1 year, with a possible renewal for an extra year.
