Assistant Professor in Experimental Soft/Living Matter Physics

The https://www.physics.upenn.edu/ at the https://www.upenn.edu/ (Penn) seeks applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in the area of experimental soft and/or living matter physics, broadly defined. Qualifications include: (1) Demonstrated ability and originality in research; (2) Capacity for teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and for mentoring/supporting a diverse student body; (3) Ability to direct graduate/undergraduate research; (4) PhD by the time of appointment, which is expected to be July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an innovative research program that attracts external funding and creates synergy with Penn faculty, e.g., with member faculty in the https://web.sas.upenn.edu/slm/ and the https://www.lrsm.upenn.edu/.
