NIST Communications Technology Laboratory / Shared Spectrum Metrology Group anticipates the need for an Electronics Engineer.

ZP-IV

- Identify high-priority metrology research and development topics within the areas of sensing and noise metrology.
- Conduct systematic research and development of considerable scope and complexity in the areas of low noise components and systems, precision noise measurements, microwave measurement uncertainty analysis, on-wafer microwave measurements, time-domain microwave measurements, and digital signal processing of spectral measurements.
- Provide subject matter expertise on microwave theory and measurements to internal and external stakeholders in the microwave metrology communities and semiconductor transistor industries.
- Propose, scope, and lead execution of research plans/tasks.
- Disseminate results to stakeholders that provide new or important changes to existing standards, methods, or techniques.
- Participate in industry standards development organizations and the dissemination of their work through presenting at relevant technical conferences and/or writing appropriate publications.

 The position is classified Term. The initial appointment will be for two years. This appointment may be extended up to 6 Years or made permanent without further competition.
