Sparrow Quantum is seeking a highly skilled process engineer to advance our GaAs photonic integrated circuit cleanroom processing and design.

At Sparrow Quantum, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of light-matter interfaces for quantum technology by becoming the world’s leading supplier of state-of-the-art foundational quantum photonic components.
Our technology is based on quantum dots embedded in free-standing GaAs photonic integrated circuits, and we need to strengthen our technological excellence in cleanroom device production. Therefore, we seek a proactive and skilled process engineer to join our technology development teams. The successful candidate will have a background in cleanroom processing.
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual with a track record of successfully delivering technically challenging results in close cooperation with internal and external co-workers.
Responsibilities of the Role
- E-beam lithography of photonic structures
- Advanced etching procedures of GaAs chips
- Post-process steps and packaging
- Perform chip production at the clean room facility at Copenhagen University and at DTU NanoLab
- Design optimization of photonic integrated circuits
- Assist in dialogues with external fabrication partners
- Heterogenous integration and expansion of our platform to new materials

Desired Qualifications
- Ph.D. or MS degree plus 1+ years of work experience in chip fabrication
- Previous hands-on experience in e-beam lithography and etching processes
- Experience in process design software, including proximity corrections of e-beam lithography
- Numerical simulation of photonic circuits
- Strong sense of ownership and willingness to drive development and delivery with ambitious targets
- Good communication skills and experience working with engineering and scientific teams, customers, and suppliers
- Experience working independently and managing priorities in ambiguous situations
